World Wide Knit in Public Day

Ok, so perhaps my extreme knitting was not quite as epic of an experience as I hoped for....but I did have an enjoyable day and got some fun photographers. Would have been nice if I could have had someone more experienced with my little camera around because some of the photos are so-so....but I had a blast and I think the people seeing me got a kick out of it too.

Warmed up with knitting and walking. No photos, because that's easy peasey. My first real deal of the day was knitting on a paddleboard. Kneeling was no biggie...but standing was an interesting matter....your legs are making constant, tiny adjustments and by the time I got back off, my legs were tired!

I got some yoga and obstacle course time in....

Had a dickens of a time finding the big jump ropes but I did find them at the end of the day, and was able to prove that YES, I can jump rope and knit at the same time. Not sure how many stitches I did...but I did them. And I didn't hurt myself.

I do have a couple more photos to share but I will post them at another time. I hope you enjoyed this...and if you have suggestions of what else I should do while knitting, please let me know!

no spoilers

I don't want to provide spoilers to all that I am going to be trying to do this week. Just suffice to say that there is an event that happens to coincide with World Wide Knit in Public Day....so I plan to be a busy extreme knitter on Saturday.

In the meantime, I'd like to ask you...where would you like to see me knitting? Or what should I try to do at the same time as I'm knitting?

Do you have a favorite extreme knitting photo, either of mine or others? If you say you've never seen others, check out my board on pinterest. I'm trying to make some sweet pictures readily accessible there.

Keep your eyes peeled...more stuff coming in a few weeks

Going to be going to an event that may possibly provide lots of good knitting opportunities. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from last week.

Extreme Knitting since 2010

I had kind of forgotten about this blog until I wanted to show some pictures to the knitting club I lead to explain something I wanted to do this spring (get pictures of them knitting on the playground... They wanted me to post more pictures of the knitting I've done so here goes.

Honeymoon Knitting

So many people were so aghast that I would contemplate knitting on my honeymoon. But there is a lot of downtime. Most of the pictures I did not knit very long for (although I could have if I had wanted to...I try only to do pictures where I can truly knit...only a few are just for fun posed) Most of my knitting was done off camera of course.

Here goes...extreme knitting...MA edition

Knitting at appointments part deux

Photographic evidence of knitting at the dentist and optometrist. The best part about doing this, is even if the doctors, dentists, hygenists, etc think I'm a bit nutty, they help me out anyway and even suggest the pictures I felt too silly to ask for. (like the fact that she's working on my mouth in one shot).

Knitting at Appointments

Thanks to the cooperation and good nature of others, I finally got pictures of me knitting at the dentist. No proof of it yet, because I'm at my parents and don't have the cord to download the pictures. But they exist! I've knitted there before, including while having cavities filled. Just never occurred to me to get pictures until I started on my quest of knitting in more unusual places.

Also got a picture of me knitting at the optometrist! Again, pictures forthcoming.
